Our winemaker, Christian Tietje, has been shaking up the industry for decades with his insane varietal pairings and his love of “big ass wines”. Before, he was doing it with (or for) someone else. Now that he’s a free elf, he’s taking extreme winemaking to a whole new level—fully exploring the hidden characteristics of pure varietals, and creating blends that obliterate the rules of convention.
