Creating the Next Generation of Zinfandel Growers

California has been blessed with universities that specialize in creating the next generation of great winemakers and vineyardists. Fresno, located in the Central Valley, is home to Fresno State University’s Department of Viticulture & Enology, where each year, over 150 viticulture and enology students take advantage of the extraordinary opportunities that this one-of-a-kind program offers. Our focus on the Central or Inland Valley Zinfandel growing region is to see how Zinfandel captures the imagination of these students, who are learning first-hand about Zinfandel’s versatility and depth of character.
