Saini Vineyards

When you’re feeling the need to ditch over the top extravagance in favor of some authentic old family pedigree and old-vine to bottle quality then set your sights on Saini Vineyards right in the scenic heart of Sonoma’s Dry Creek Valley.

Mike Saini is the embodiment of Zinfandel farming cred, a fourth generation rancher and grape grower who grew up among his family’s vineyards and began driving tractors as a teenager. In 2008, after decades of the Sainis growing grapes on their Dry Creek Valley and Alexander Valley ranches for wineries, Mike took the next step with his parents, John and Patti, and business partner George Christie by launching a series of estate wines sourced from the family vineyards. Adding a mom and pop style to the operation, Mike’s wife Laura Saini – a Dry Creek native, acts as General Manager of Saini.

It all started over a century ago when Michele Saini partnered with a friend, John Cuneo, to purchase farming land in Dry Creek where the old vineyards thrive to this day. In succession it was Eugene “Si” Saini, then Mike’s father, John Saini who maintained the family tradition. Under the direction of veteran winemaker, Julia Iantosca, with Mike overseeing vineyards , the Saini line of estate wines includes two luscious old vine Zinfandels: Olive Block, and Apple Block.

Make a reservation to visit and Saini offers free tastings for each person that purchases two bottles. Saini also offers vineyard tours that can be arranged in advance through the winery.
