In the mid 1990’s, ZAP and UC Davis partnered to create greater diversity for growers and winemakers to expand the quality of offerings of Zinfandel plants. The Zinfandel Heritage Vineyard Project has been a fruitful collaboration, and for many years membership at ZAP has included access to the exclusive Heritage Vineyard Zinfandel. These Zinfandels, not available in stores or wineries, have proved to be an exceptional way to showcase America’s heritage grape.
Now, the end of an era is upon us. After 20 vintages of Heritage Vineyard wines produced by the most renowned Zinfandel winemakers, this phase of the Heritage Vineyard project been completed.
As our supply of Heritage Zinfandel is dwindling, it is time to announce our newest benefit of membership. The Legendary Zinfandel Wine Club is an opportunity for ZAP to highlight the wineries that are championing America’s heritage grape. Selected wineries will contribute their favorite current vintage and ZAP will curate mixed packs to send to our loyal members at the ZinLover level and above.
